Lane Smaka is an artist, welder and fabricator. They learned to weld at a trade school in Manhattan in 2011 and has since worked in various metal shops in New York, Portland and Tucson. They opened Smaka Metal LLC in 2024 which does a wide range of custom metal fabrication including interior/ exterior architectural ironwork, fences, gates, doors, steel ramadas, shade structures, and detached carports, furniture, decorative metal landscape features and metal sculpture.
Smaka Metal LLC is a licensed residential and commercial contractor and holds licenses for CR23 ornamental metals and CR3 awnings, canopies, carports, and patio covers- and has also been a certified structural welder for 13 years.
